Mobilising for Justice in Belarus

Mikhail Kirylyuk was disbarred on 19 February 2021, officially as he made public statements containing rude, tactless expressions about representatives of a state organization, which was deemed unacceptable and incompatible with the rank of a lawyer. Kirylyuk was a lawyer for Yelena Leuchanka, the most successful female basketball player in Belarus and one of the leading figures of the protest movement. He has also been a member of the Coordination Council and the leader of the justice department at the National Anti-Crisis Management.
